The Mastery You Had All Along
The word Reiki (魂気) comes from Japanese:
Rei (魂)- Universal, spiritual, divine. Ki (気)- Life force energy (like Chi in Chinese or Prana in Sanskrit)
Together, Reiki means Universal Life Energy- and it’s always been with you. It’s not something outside of you; it’s the energy you’ve always carried. Now you simply notice it- and learn to move with it.
The Hands That Always Knew
The hands remember what the mind forgets- how to calm a restless breath, how to soften the weight of sorrow, how to whisper warmth into weary bones.
No master taught them this; they knew before knowing began. Fingers once clenched in worry now rest open- light spilling through.
For healing does not rush; it flows, like water finding its way. And the hands? They have always known their way.
Levels of Reiki- Reiki has different levels of training:
Reiki I teaches self-healing and basic healing for others.
Reiki II introduces powerful symbols and distant healing.
Reiki Master is the highest level, focusing on teaching and performing attunements.
Reiki Master Training: Becoming a Reiki Master is optional. It can deepen your practice and allow you to guide others, but it’s not required to connect with Reiki energy. Many practitioners find profound healing without formal Master training.
Self-Practice and Intuition: You can practice Reiki without rigid rules- just by trusting your hands and your breath. While training may offer guidance, your ability to connect with Reiki is natural- something you carry within you.
Attunements: Traditionally, Reiki Masters perform attunements- energy transmissions that open your energetic channels for Reiki. Some believe this can also unfold naturally through meditation and self-practice. It may take longer, but it happens- like a bud unfolding when the time is right.
No Rules, Just Practice
Reiki is quiet, simple- and already within you.
No complex rituals, no certifications required- just trust your hands, your heart, and your breath.
You’ve always known how. Now it’s time to remember.

Your hands knew how to soothe before you learned the word for comfort. Your breath knew how to steady itself long before you were taught to count the beats.
